Shufflinsanity January 18

While shuffleboard is commonly thought of as a game for seniors, the Royal Palms has exposed hundreds of thousands of young people to the game. Most of our league teams feature players who grew up listening to CDs rather than 8 tracks. In fact, the speed of the RP court often favors the young powerful players who can really pour some mustard on it, when they need to clear a disk out of the kitchen. The Biscuiteers are a notable exceptions to the rule. Their collected wisdom has produced a perennial playoff powerhouse with multiple division titles and deep runs into the tournament. Indeed, these young-at-heart barely-boomers are more than just 'ok' 2020 definitely mixed things up in the RP world.

When Shufflinsanity came along, players that normally live within a few blocks of the club, found their teammates scattered throughout the country and not able to field a full roster. This created a new phenomenon - 'The Franken-Team'. Tonight's match features two badass challenge division rivals joined into one fearsome shuffle-beast. Canal Bar and Grandma's Kitchen have been joined together in unholy matrimony to create 'Grandma's Canal' which was summarily nixed by our prudent producers so instead we dubbed them 'Canal-Kitchen'.

Tune in tonight to see if the sage elders will put the young hipsters in their place or if the sapient creature created by an unorthodox scientific experiment will force us to exclaim, after the final frame, 'It's Alive!
